The Dragonfly Garden Sign

Posted on April 28, 2009May 10, 2009 by tjwise1954

I like naming areas of our yard. We have our Serenity Garden, deep in the trees, with a cement bench, for silent reflection. There is the Fairy Forest, the Shade Garden, and our veggie garden is named The Dragonfly Garden, in honor of the dragonfiles that like to frolic in it and as a semi-tribute to an all time favorite "The Gilmore Girls".

In the garden there are various garden dragonflies. Some are on stakes and one is dangling at the end of a wind chime. This weekend I finally got around to painting a sign for the garden. Tim cut me a 20" piece of 3" pine. I used outdoor paints then he hung it from the entrance arbor. I am quite pleased with it. I didn’t seal the sign since I used outdoor paints. I guess time will tell if they hold up well to the elements or not!

I’ve never really given any thought to what my gardens look like. Your sign is so pretty. I think I’ll make this a goal this year to pretty up the garden. I love Wee Folk Art and everything you do there. Can’t wait to see your garden unfold.
